Marlborough Hills Healthcare
Center's Special Care program offers specialized services to
residents with Alzheimer's Disease and related dementias. We
provide a supportive and compassionate environment to residents
and their families. The Special Care program emphasizes positive
life experiences and active involvement of residents in a specialized
daily routine.
The Special Care Unit at Marlborough Hills
Healthcare Center was designed for the care of people diagnosed
with Alzheimer's Disease and related dementias who exhibit one
or more of the following:
- Cognitive decline
- Decline in judgment and safety
- Disturbed sleep/wake cycle
- Wandering
- Difficulty dealing with daily care

Our Special Alzheimer/Dementia
Care Unit offers:
- 38 Bed Unit
- Member of the Alzheimer's Association
- Bright and peaceful atmosphere
- Activities 7 days per week
- Caring, professional, specially trained staff
- Monthly support group
- Programs based on individual needs to sustain
maximum quality of life in a failure-free environment

Activity programs of our
Special Care Unit are specifically designed to enrich, support
and maximize the quality of life for each resident. Our activities
program fills the entire day with positive experiences through
activities such as:
- Reminiscence Therapy
- Music Therapy
- Exercise Programs
- "Failure Free" Activities
